Summary:
21-item self-rating scale for depression. Each item comprises 4 statements (rated 0-4) describing increasing severity of the abnormality concerned. Person completing the scale is required to read each group of statements and identify the one that best describes the way they have felt over the preceding week.
A total of 12/13 is an indicative score for presence of significant depression.
Validity in schizophrenia not evaluated.
